Hi! I have installed rom P8H67-M PRO on my P8H67-M PRO B3 (3.0). Is this no problem? Speedstep seems to work. No kp after removing nullcpumanagement kext. Thanks for your work!
Hi Sammi - I have an Asus Barebones V9-P8H67E (http://www.asus.com/Barebone_PC/V_Series_2530L/V9P8H67E/). Is there any chance you could knock up a modified bios for this board. It would be a massive help and is clearly beyond my capability to handle.Cheers and keep up the good work!Tom
Hi Tom,http://www.mediafire.com/?8t2i2ofrckydcktits the latest rom from the link you provided.Sami
Is it possible to have a Bios for some Asus Laptops. The Asus G74SX is a common one for example and one which I have. Its is the closest thing to a portable desktop. GTX560M Graphics card 16GB Ram 2630QM processor etc etc!! This is a high end gamers laptop.
Is it possible to apply these same edits to a socket 2011 ROM, like the ASUS P9X79 Pro? I have that board and an i7-3930K mostly working, but am stuck using NullCPUPowerManagement still. =/
Hi there, I've got a P8H67-M LX. Are there currently any plans on adding that one to the list?

Hi. Does Intel turbo mode work with a patched BIOS?
Thanks for your answer, there is a new update out for my MB: P8H67-M PRO BIOS 3604. http://support.asus.com/Download.aspx?SLanguage=en&m=P8H67-M+PRO&p=1&s=39Could you please patch the bios for it? :)Thanks!
the latest roms for a couple boards (yours, the p8z68-v, p8z68-v pro) are different when unpacked compared to the older roms. the location of what needs to be changed is different. if those who found the info on how to do this originally, find out and let it be known what has changed, then the latest roms will be uploaded.till then, either use the older rom, or use the latest rom with speedstepper
Are the Rom's poster as of today Aug 4th updated? Thank You!
thanks for your answer, hope that a solution can be found. :)
There is a new bios version for P8Z68-V Pro/Gen 3 (3202). Any chance you gonna update it soon? 'cause there was only the 0402 right now on your list. Thank :)

Hi I followed the steps for the "P8P67 REV 3.1" rom, and got all the way to the "ASUS EZ Flash 2 Utility" screen. But when I try to flash the bios, it tells me the rom file is "Image integrity check failed." Is there a human error on my part, or is there some error with the rom file? Thanks —j
Hi, that usually means that the version you have currently installed is higher than the version you are trying to flash.which version is currently installed on your board? 2302?

Any chance of adding a do it yourself guide? If not is there a possibility of adding ASUS Maximus IV Extreme B3 board? Thanks in advance.
DIY guide is available on insanelymac.Maximus IV Extreme added
Dude, I am at a loss of words. Thank you so very much.
No sound after update bios 3207? No way to hear sound? How to fix this or we can make this?
looks like that is one of the problems updating to the 3k roms on some of the older boards. use hdanenabler until a dsdt fix is found. or you could downgrade back to the older version. up to you
Hello samisnake.Thank you for your work.I have a Maximus IV Gene-Z/Gen3 moboCan you make a modified Latest 3305 BIOS for this mainboard? Thanks

Fantastic task mate! thanks for your efforts. If you happen to have the time and the will could you fix the bios for Asus P8h77-m?Thanks in advance.
currently no known way to flash a modified *77 bios. they will be added when its confirmed
Hi semisnake! thanks for the reply! look I managed to tweak the rom but crashed to this wall: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?s=a89293660404ead9676b65961eabd61d&showtopic=278208&st=20&p=1823000&#entry1823000However I managed to get over that fence by doing this: Method: dynamic Manufacturer: asusIn advanced I checked: "dont alter any acpi tables"unchecked: "replace all OEM/Table id occurences"Then, of course, checked the "No Slic" and "Allow user to modify other modules".Didnt flash the bios yet, dont have the mobo with me now. What do you think?
never had that problem with an asus one before.that part isnt the problem anyway. doing the modification to the rom goes fine, but when flashing it it comes up with 'security verification failed' or similar.
You are right mate. "Security verification failed". Guess we must wait a workaround this.
Could you please motify the new bios for P8H67-M PRO MB? (3802) http://support.asus.com/Download.aspx?SLanguage=en-en&m=P8H67-M+PRO&p=1&s=39Thanks for your work!
Latest bios for P8Z68-V/GEN3(3402) was uploaded on ASUS.Could you make it patched? There's also version 3304, but I think it can be skipped.
Asus P8H61-M LE CSM has several new BIOS revisions. http://support.asus.com/Download.aspx?SLanguage=en&m=P8H61-M+LE%2fCSM&p=1&s=39The board I got from Newegg is running 4001, but 4104 is the most recent. Thanks for all your hard work.
Could u please update Asus P8H67-M EVO to v.3402 or can u tell me what to edit so i can do it myself. Thanks.
many p67 and h67 boards on 3xxx roms have issues with osx, eg. audio not working at all/sleep not working. i can give you a link to the rom if you really want it, but if there is nothing wrong with the rom you are using, or you want to update for the sake of it, dont.
Could you please update the bios of P8Z68-V PRO GEN3 to the 3402 version ? Very BIG thank you for your work !!!
Please update P8P67-M to latest BIOS! Thanks
Nevermind, I successfully managed to do so myself! Here's my modified version of the 3602 BIOS for the Asus P8P67-M (not the pro model): http://www.datafilehost.com/download-c13c9cb0.html
Hello ouija, how did u do it? What software was used to edit and what was edited? Thanks
Can you update P8P67 to the latest 3301 rom? Much appreciated.
many p67 boards have issues with the 3xxx roms, such as audio and sleep not working. if there is nothing wrong with the rom you are using, dont update
I am also interested in newest P8P67 bios 3301. I am aware of all possible problems, I am using previous 3k bios now. Could you upload newest patched bios? I would be very grateful!
Could you please update P8Z68-V bios to the latest 3402? Thanks for you work!
Hello good sir, thanks for your jobis it possible to have the modified rom for the latest p8h61m lx ? http://dlcdnet.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/LGA1155/P8H61-M_LX/P8H61-M-LX-ASUS-4301.zipThank you
Sorry I did not see the new post about the "Do not upgrade or die" rule, my bad :)My system works fine in 10.7.3 anyway and Im waiting for ML so dont bother to make this rom for me
i dont know about die, but if your system works fine, best to leave it tbh.the rom wont fails the repack check anyway. seems quite a few of the 4xxx do that.
Hi Samisnake, Great job you're doing. I've this troublesome P8H67-I board that I've downgraded to 0803 ROM here and still get KP with either the vanilla 10.7.4 AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement.kext or the Multibeast 4.5.1 modified version. DSDT is in place, removing the above kext boots fine but of course no Sleep till Brooklin... Any idea what else to try?
Nevermind, I applied the RTFM method and from the refering page found the solution, on the following line! For anyone in the same boat, here's the solution:http://www.tonymacx86.com/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=57287Cheers

hey samisnake Could you update Asus P8H61-M LE/CSM Rev 3.0 Bios to last update ?

Hi Samisnake, can you update to the lastest Bios for the Maximus IV Extreme-Z Version 3501?Thanks for your great work!http://dlcdnet.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/LGA1155/Maximus_IV_Extreme-Z/Maximus-IV-Extreme-Z-ASUS-3501.zip
Hello Samisnake,This is so awesome! I have been waiting for native power management on my hackintosh for ever, and you have made it available for me. Thank you! The only problem is that I saw you took down the rom for my board (P8Z77-V LX). Was there a problem with this rom? I saw you had it before, and I downloaded, but I am unsure to try and flash my bios with it now that I see you have pulled it down.It would be great if you could let me know about what happened to it.Thank you very much.
hi,yes the roms for both the -V LX and -V LK were removed. to use the roms for the z77 boards, you need to use the usb flashback feature.the LX and LK do not come with that feature. ezflash (in the advanced section of the bios) will not flash it, nor will bupdater dos utility.there are a couple possible (but not tested) ways you could go from here.one is to try flashrom in linux to flash the modified rom.the other way is to buy a bios chip (easily replaceable) from this seller on ebay http://myworld.ebay.co.uk/zeanon/?_trksid=p4340.l2559if you message him with a link to the modified bios, he will program it onto the chip for you.as no security checks will take place (the reason why the bios fails to flash when using anything other than flashback) its likely that the modded bios will work.there are issues with this way, such as cost and inability to upgrade the bios, but it is most likely to work for you.hope that helps
Thank you. I will look into those methods. I know my way around in linux, so I'll probably try the flashrom method. And again, this is great work! Much appreciated.
no problem.whichever method you go, could you give an update when you are done? if it works, it could help other LX/LK users.flashrom method can be risky, but i suppose if your bios dies, you have to try the chip method ;-)good luck!
I just looked on flashrom's website to see that it doesn't yet support any ASUS 7 series MoBos. Oh well. Not sure if I will live with patched PowerManagement, go for the bios chip thing, or just get another MoBo. After all, I have been lusting after a thunderbolt board ... :)However, I will be sure to give you an update if I do manage to get the flashed bios on the LX.
Asus P8Z68-V PRO 3402Asus P8Z68-V PRO/GEN3 3402Both have:-Intel RAID ROM Updated 18.104.22.1687 (Use the 22.214.171.1246 RST Driver<-Micron eSATA ROM Updated 1.07.28-ASUS SLIC 2.1-Flashed and tested and work flawlessly!Turns out that Intel's 11.5 ROM/Driver Combo performs worse than the 11.2 ROM/Driver combo in many cases. There are also other reports stating the opposite, ran my own tests. They seem conclusive.11.5 also has been pulled from Intel's website due to a nasty memory link in the iastor service that can case eventual data corruption. They recommend going down to 126.96.36.1996.There are also reports that properly working and verifiable TRIM for RAID arrays doesn't yet exist in 11.5 using a Z68 chipset yet (Z77 do work, though). Google it and look for a guy posting; alias "Fernando". He's run lots of tests and posted the results. Here are my results with an idle at the BIOS screen for at least 6 hours right before testing.(Both PCs have 2 x 128 GB Crucial M4 in RAID 0)Exhibit A: P8Z68-V PRO/GEN3 with 11.5Exhibit B:P8Z68-V PRO/GEN3 with 11.2Didn't take screenshot with 11.5 for the next board, but I remember sequential read being ~820 MBpsP8Z68-V PRO/GEN3 with 11.2Had to stop being lazy and learn how to do this... it wasn't so bad. Figured I should give back a little, for the much I have taken.Enjoy :)Samisnake, is there a thread that may help me out or do you mind explaining how I might begin to perform the DSDT patch on that Chronos 7 bios (13FD) I listed in your first post on your site?
Note: Write back cache enabled for all tests of the SSDs in RAID 0.
Hi Samisnake,I have just bought an Asus P8Z77-v-Pro-Thunderbolt. I have downloaded the file P8ZZ77VPTB.cap, I have copied to a flash drive formatted fat32 and copied the file to the root. I have then placed the fash drive in the marked USB port on the rear of the board. According to the directions you then have to press a solenoid switch on the motherboard near to the hdled etc connector. Press it for 3 seconds it says, the led flasshes for a couple of secs then stops flashing and stays on. But the BIOS does not update...The only saving grace is that I have downloaded the latest Asus bios P8z&&-V-Pro- Thunderbolt - Asus- 1504.cap, with the same result. Do these roms have to be renamed. Sorry if I am being very dumbBrgds/TonyD
Can I make a request for the socket 1156 Asus V7-P7H55E ?It is a barebone and has a very crappy Bios. The bios is here:http://www.asus.com/Barebone_PC/V_Series_2530L/V7P7H55E/#downloadAny help is greatly appreciated!(by the way, adding this comment did not work on Chrome on OS X ?)
these roms arent to do with 1156.
Hi there, I've downloaded and used the P8P67 PRO Rev 3.1, but since then the MAC Address of my gygabit has canged in 88:88:88:88:89:88 and I cannot find a way to set it back, in windows I can use the tool inside the drivers to set it back but it is just a software fix, in OSX I'm not able to, is there any way to set the MAC Address back as it was? Thanks Tony
hi matey, never mind, I've fixed the MAC address with EEUDPATE.EXE via DOS, look forward for your next bios for p8p67 pro rev 3.1taTony

that mobo has the usb flash feature...this way i flashed the latest bios
your doesnt have the "flashback" feature according to the asus site. you cant flash a modded bios on a z77 board using the regular method of ezflash.if you want to try it though http://bios.zmac.net/asus/P8Z77-V-LX-ASUS-0801_modified.zip
can you plz make a modded version for this version P8Z77-V LX BIOS 1201thanks in advance!
confirm that your board can flash a modded bios first, then i will. there is no point making one for that board if it cannot.
can you make a modded version for this version BIOS 3304 для ASUS P8Z68 Deluxe/Gen3instead of 3202.
Thank you very much
Thanks a lot for the excellent work you're doing! The Maximus IV GENE-Z is up to BIOS 3402 on the Asus download page.http://support.asus.com/download.aspx?SLanguage=en&m=Maximus%20IV%20GENE-Z&p=1&s=39&os=30&hashedid=nKcJ3Ac58hWxiR0FShould one stick with your modded 3203 BIOS ?Can you mod the latest 3402 BIOS ?Thanks, in advance!

Hi There. Firstly, thanks so much for providing the support needed for ASUS boards to run hackintosh. Really appreciate the time you've put into this :0)I've recently purchased a P8Z77-V PRO mobo (http://uk.asus.com/Motherboards/Intel_Socket_1155/P8Z77V_PRO/#download) and am trying to dual boot it with mountain lion & win7. I'm trying to use unibeast to do this as I have a macbook. When I got the board I didn't know about the speedstep issues and so upgraded the bios to 1504 (latest). I tried to install your modded 1206 on top of this but it would progress to about 50% then the last part would speed up significantly then ask me to reboot. After rebooting I still find that 1504 is installed. So I did a bit of research and found that I may need to hack a lower version in, so I used AMIFLASH tools to do this using modded 1406, which appears to work but on reboot still at 1504 :( I did try to downgrade to official 1206 using AMIFLASH and this worked but then windows won't boot anymore and is not repairable so I put 1504 back on.Not sure why modded 1406 won't take on the bios. Any ideas?ThanksSunil
try using the usb flashback feature, and report back
Hi There,I have a P8Z77-V with Bios Version 1406.Do i Need to upgrade my bios to 1606 first before i flash your bios mod?Because i am stuck here i dont have a DSDT and can't get a stable version too,so flashing my bios is my last change for a stable OSX Mountain Lion.Really hope you can help!GreetsGaya

Thank you so much for your helpCan you maby tell me what settings i need to use in multibeast do you know this?So that i have a good stable OSX running.i tryed so many things but get lost and i am a music producer so i need a stable osx.(My imac i too old for logic 9 :)oh and i do have a legal version os OSX Mountain Lion!Bought in the appstore i know that most of you guys won't help if you have an illegal OSX.my setup is: - i5 2500K (SB)- P8Z77-V (v.1406)- 8GB 1333 mhz- GTX 670 FTW (EVGA)- SSD 256 GB (Samsung 830)- 1TB Seagate Barracuda- OCZ 700 wattAny Help with this would be so nice!Again thank you for helping us all!GreetsGaya
